Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapy services aim to restore your independence in daily living activities, such as eating, bathing, dressing, and other at-home tasks, as well as strengthening your arms and improving your fine motor skills.
Physical Therapy
Your physical therapy will focus on mobility, balance, and strength, plus issues like chronic pain, vertigo, gait problems, and arthritis.
Speech Therapy
You may see our speech-language pathologist to help you continue your recovery from a brain injury, head or neck surgery, or to address cognitive disorders. You may work on difficulty swallowing, stuttering, articulation, or voice problems.
Together, we also specialize and are certified in orthopedics, Kinesio® Taping, stroke rehab, dementia care, medication management, environmental adaptations, and balance and fall prevention
“When a new resident arrives, we evaluate their functional impairments and discuss it with all therapy disciplines. We then discuss goals with each new resident and determine a plan of care. Once therapy begins, we strive to assist each and every resident to try to meet those goals for the best possible outcomes,” said Symbria Therapy Director Kiran Dornala.

Dornala has been practicing physical therapy since 2010. His background includes an M.S. in kinesiology from Texas Woman’s University, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Utica College. He’s also a Kinesio® Tape/RockTape practitioner and enjoys helping residents live a pain-free, fully functional life. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and exploring various cuisines.
